They brought joy into your home during their life.

Let’s honor that joy.

Anyone who has loved an animal knows the geography they leave behind: the corner of the couch, the sunny patch by the window, the exact spot on the floor where they waited for you.

A commissioned pet urn is designed around one specific animal. The color of a collar. The landscape of a favorite trail. The improbable dignity of a very small dog. I work from your photographs and your stories to make a vessel that honors your pet.

Every time you look at the beautiful, bespoke urn that you’ve commissioned to hold their ashes is an opportunity to relive the fond memories of your pet.

Below, you can see examples of urns made for other loved ones. No two vessels will be the same because each one is made for a single pet. Yours.

Traditional Forms

For some families that familiarity is part of the comfort, and there is nothing plain about a classic silhouette made by hand in the colors your person loved. Traditional here describes the form, not the finish.

Modern Forms

Clean lines and simple geometry. A modern form does not announce what it is, which is why these tend to end up on a shelf or a mantel rather than tucked out of sight.

Sculptural Vessels

Art objects that happen to hold someone. Asymmetry, unexpected volume, shapes built around one particular person rather than around a category.

How it works

The process is the same unhurried one I use for every commission: you tell me about your pet and your desires for the vessel, I design and build inspired by what you share. There is no time pressure. The ashes you have will wait as long as you need, and the vessel will be worth the wait.

Vessels are sized properly to your pet’s weight, and shipped to you in six to eight weeks. See below for details.
