Honor your loved one with a hand-made vessel worthy of the life it holds.

The vessel that holds them should be as beautiful as they were.

Crafted With Purpose, To Honor Your Loved One

Whenever You’re Ready

If you are here because someone’s ashes have been in the container from the crematory for months, or for years, or because you made a quick decision to purchase an urn you don’t love when you were in the throws of grief, I want to tell you three true things:

First: it’s ok. Cremated remains are stable. They do not degrade, expire, or require any special conditions. Whatever container they’re in right now will keep them safe indefinitely. There is no clock running.

Second: this is common. I hear from families who waited six months, and families who waited eleven years. The pattern is nearly universal. In the weeks after a death there are a hundred decisions, and choosing a permanent vessel is the one decision that can wait, so it does. Waiting isn’t neglect. It’s triage, and it was a good decision. In fact, we did the same when my own dad died.

Third: you can make a decision to honor the ashes (and the person they were) when you’re ready. And if you’re on this page, that’s a sign you might be.
